I have been doing quite a bit of stitching/ sewing for the holidays..made 2 quilted Christmas stockings for a friends children, they turned out really cute!!! They are from a Nancy Halvorsen book, if you like to sew/quilt, check out her books, you definitely won't be disapointed!! I have all of her books and hold my breath when she has a new one!! I'm also stitching ornies for my husbands siblings, I'm not a very good finisher, but I am learning!! Thank heavens for tutorials!!!
Looking forward to T'giving, all 3 granddaughters will be here, ages 8, 7 and 6,,,they are really fun to have around and can be really onery!! LOL!! I'll be doing the cooking, but it should be a fun day!! Then, off the next week on vacation, yippeee!!! Will decorate, watch my soaps, yep!!! I love soap operas and not ashamed to admit it!!! LOL!!! and hopefully more sewing and possibly get some shopping done!!! I'm cutting down this year, as I'm sure most are!!!

Hot Saturday!!!
Whew!! It's a scorcher in KY!! Too hot to even sit on the porch, something we love to do!!
Took the "old folks" (that is my 91 and 86 year old parents) to Sams today, parked Dad in a wheelchair, and off we went!! He is a little unsteady on his feet, so I figured if he didn't ride, we would have been there for a least 3 hours!! LOL!! We had a good time!!
Made a papermache box today for a friends B'day...I decorate the top with stuff about them, and I made paper tags to go inside..if I can ever figure out how to use
this darn camera, I'll post some pictures!!!
In the cross stitch department, I'm trying to finish up my Trilogy Halloween picture, should wrap that up this week!!! Thinking about ordering the new LK Xmas flipits, I feel like I need a little pick-me-up!!LOL!!
On the book front, I'm reading a WONDERFUL book, The Girls by Lori Lansens,,,give it a try, I don't think you will be disappointed!!
Well, off to read!!
Until next time...

Hello, Friends!!!
It has been forever since I've posted, lots going on!! I did purchase a new computer, a laptop!! Now, the next purchase will be a camera!!! Then hopefully, I'll be able to post some pictures!! With help of course!!!
I'm stitching on a Trilogy Halloween piece, almost finished!! I'm also doing a patriotic primitive stitch for a wonderful online friend of mine!! I have made many friends just by joining exchanges and posting on individual blogs!!
Had a busy weekend, DD and granddaughter came in from Lexington, Ky Friday and just left!! I so enjoy their visits!! They used to live in Atlanta!! 8 hour drive compared to an hour and a half, wonderful!!!!
In a minute hubby and I are going to sit on the porch and I'm going to relax and read!! Started "Girls" by Lisa Larsen yesterday, it's going to be great!!!
I'm going to make this short tonight, hope you gals had a great weekend and also have a wonderful blessed week!!

Monday, Monday!!!
Had a good weekend, had to put the crafting weekend with my daughter on hold, weather did not cooperate!! She will be here in a couple of weeks!! This snow is really putting a damper on my plans!!!
We watched "Jaws" Friday night, I swear I love that movie!! I jump every time that head pops out of that porthole!! Ok, I've seen married 36 years, we've watched it at least 2x per year...that's 72 times!!! No wonder I know every line!!! LOL!!!
Had the old folks over last night for the Super Bowl, that's my parents, ages 91 and 87!! We had a great time, I fixed tacos and nachos, quite good!!!
I did start on a new project, I can't remember the name, but it's by Notforgotten Farm, a cute heart with an alphabet...got quite a good start on it!!! I have 2 committment stitchings, better get on the ball!!!
Well, have a great evening, let's keep our fingers crossed for warmer weather!! I'm really mad at that groundhog!!!

Hello, fellow bloggers!!!
Well, it's the middle of the week, looking forward to the weekend and hopefully some serious stitching/sewing!!! I have joined a Kit of the Month Club from an online quilting/primitive store, the first 3 kits shoud be in my mailbox any day!!! Yipee!!! Everything included, pattern, material, etc...all but the tread...the first 3 are really cute!! I can hardly wait to get started!!! Weather supposed to be wintry this weekend, so maybe some serious stitching can be accomplished!!!
Thanks so much for your kind comments about the blogging world...should be fun!!!
I'm going to get my thinking cap on about a giveaway!!!
